Beautiful Sakura Fighting Club
Beautiful Sakura Fighting Club – out now on Xbox

Well, you have to admire the persistence. Just when you think the series might hang up its gloves, another entry steps into the ring.

Beautiful Sakura: Fighting Club has launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. From developer and publisher Cropware, this latest chapter in the long-running Beautiful Sakura saga is available right now for £9.99.

Kaito’s Next Chapter: The Fighting Club

This time, the action moves from the beach to the boxing ring as protagonist Kaito enters his first professional fighting tournament.

Beautiful Sakura: Fighting Club continues the gripping (ahem) story of Kaito. After months of relentless training, he’s ready to prove himself in the world of professional fighting. As he climbs the ranks, he’ll face not only a series of skilled opponents but also people from his past – childhood friends, former crushes, and rivals who have now become companions. Each fight is promised to be charged with memories, tension, and hidden emotions.

You’ll find that this one focuses heavily on Kaito’s emotional growth. With every victory and loss, he’s said to grow not just as a fighter, but as a person. Bonds will be tested, old flames will flicker, and the spotlight of the stage promises to reveal more than just skill, uncovering “the heart beneath the gloves.”

A History of Half-Hearted Attempts

Our history with the Beautiful Sakura series has been… memorable. We’ve seen Kaito and friends take on the Volleyball Club, Fitness Club, Running Club, Fashion Club, and Racing Club.

However, our most in-depth experience came with Beautiful Sakura: Surfing Club, a title we were compelled to award a scathing 0.5/5 score in our review. It was so bad that we couldn’t bring ourselves to play the next games in the series.

In fact, we concluded:

Beautiful Sakura: Surfing Club is perhaps the most cynical, half-hearted attempt at weedling £10 out of someone’s pockets, and no amount of baby-oil and AI-generated creepy-fingers can justify its existence. If this is the future of gaming then stop the bus, because we’re getting off.

Will Fighting Club manage to land a knockout blow and redeem the series, or is it destined for another quick tap-out? If you play it, get into the comments and let us know how bad this one is.

Choose Your Corner: Xbox Editions

Beautiful Sakura: Fighting Club is available on the Xbox Store in two versions, both priced at £9.99:

The bell has rung on another Beautiful Sakura title. Whether this entry manages to rise from the canvas or simply becomes another forgettable undercard bout remains to be seen.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
