Sleep Awake
Sleep Awake – out now on Xbox

If you’ve managed to stay awake until now, then a whole new terrifying challenge awaits you – SLEEP AWAKE.

SLEEP AWAKE, an immersive first-person psychedelic horror narrative experience, from developer EYES OUT and publisher Blumhouse Games is now available on Xbox Series X|S for £24.99.

This mind-bending journey explores the realm between oblivion and the waking world, where the inexplicable disappearance of those who sleep – The HUSH – is the greatest fear of humanity.

The Nightmare of The HUSH

The story thrusts you into a near-future filled with immersive technology. You play as Katja, one of the denizens of The Crush – the last known city on Earth. This city is submitted to perpetual insomnia due to the constant fear of The HUSH.

As you desperately try to stay awake, you must survive the devotees of various depraved death cults who are performing reckless experiments in an effort to avoid sleep.

Survival at the Edge of Sanity

SLEEP AWAKE is built to deliver a unique and deeply unsettling horror experience that preys on your deepest fears.

The game blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination. You will explore a gorgeous visualisation of a terrifying reality caught between the crumbling physical world and a symbolic, otherworldly realm. This unique aesthetic is enhanced by FMV sequences and an arresting audio experience crafted by Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails.

Survival hinges on challenging stealth, survival, and chase sequences. You will need to evade and outrun a ritualistic cult, solve gruesome puzzles, and engage in visceral combat against the strange presence of the medieval undead. You must find the balance between engaging these horrific creatures and preserving your own fragile sanity.

Your Final Report

So what should you expect from this intense survival horror? Well…

  • First-Person Horror Narrative exploring the realm between sleep and death.
  • Psychedelic Visuals and FMV Sequences blurring the lines between reality and the virtual.
  • Unique Gameplay: Survive stealth, chase, and combat sequences against cults and the medieval undead.
  • A Gripping Story: Katja confronts the grief of losing her family while fighting the death cults obsessed with avoiding The HUSH.

The final act of perpetual insomnia has begun. If you’re a fan of psychological horror that gets under your skin and is looking for a truly gorgeous, yet deeply unsettling experience, SLEEP AWAKE is waiting for your test on the Xbox Store right now.

Just remember. Don’t fall asleep!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
