Voidtrain – on Game Pass, PC, Xbox and Play Anywhere

The day has finally arrived! Voidtrain, the much-anticipated first-person survival-crafting game, where you build your own locomotive to battle interdimensional creatures (including bloodthirsty flying sharks), has pulled into the Xbox, PC, Play Anywhere and Game Pass station.

Voidtrain has left Early Access and launched in its full 1.0 version today. This unique adventure from developer and publisher HypeTrain Digital is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC, priced at ÂŁ24.99.

Best of all for subscribers, this is a Day One launch on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, and it comes with full Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Welcome to the Void

Your adventure begins as an engineer, unexpectedly thrust into the Void – a strange, surreal, and mysterious world with its own rules and a future you must now forge. This ever-changing landscape is filled with floating islands, dangerous minefields, and ancient ruins. Your only hope for survival and exploration? A single, humble train trolley.

Voidtrain is a brilliant blend of genres, tasking you with building, fighting, and exploring, all from your custom-built locomotive.

This is your mobile base, and you build it from nothing. You will start with that one empty trolley and gradually develop it into a proper train, complete with multiple wagons, advanced engines, and all the comforts of home. You can fill it with workbenches, storage, decorations, and even tables for mini-games.

You’ll venture on expeditions to floating islands to find new materials, solve challenging puzzles, and discover exotic fauna. You can even meet and rescue the adorable Rofleemo, a creature you can recruit to become part of your train crew, helping you automate tasks and defend your base.

The Void is not a friendly place. You’ll face a variety of enemies on your journey, from heavily armed soldiers to the aforementioned flying sharks. You must craft and customise your own weapons and equipment, defend your train from enemy waves in arenas, and be prepared to constantly fight for your life.

A First-Class Ticket on Game Pass

This launch is a massive win for Xbox players.

Not only is Voidtrain a Day One drop on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, but it also fully supports Xbox Play Anywhere. This fantastic feature means that a single digital purchase (or your Game Pass subscription) unlocks the game on both your Xbox Series X|S console and your Windows PC.

All of your saves, train blueprints, and progress are synced via the cloud, so you can seamlessly switch between platforms without ever losing your place.

Your Conductor’s Log

Here’s what you can expect from this new survival-crafting adventure:

  • First-person, open-world factory building… on a train!
  • The Full 1.0 Launch: The beloved Early Access title is now a complete experience.
  • Available Day One on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

  • Play solo or with friends in co-op.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
