Barely a week goes by, but Afil Games has done it again, delivering another wonderfully quirky and clever puzzle game to the console storefronts. This time, we’re leaving the Lucha Libre ring behind for an enchanted swamp in Toad Slide, a Sokoban-inspired 2D pixel-art adventure.

An Enchanted Swamp Awaits
In Toad Slide, you are the guardian of a magical swamp. Your mission is to solve 30 carefully crafted puzzles by moving runic stone blocks and placing them onto their corresponding magic circles. It’s a game of clear logic, smooth gameplay, and gradually increasing challenges.
Your adventure will take you through 30 levels split across two distinct biomes: 15 levels set in the gentle light of day, and 15 set in the mysterious calm of night.
A New Twist on a Classic Formula
This is where Toad Slide gets really interesting. While it’s inspired by classic Sokoban (block-pushing) puzzles, your toad has a few more tricks up its… well, it doesn’t have sleeves, but you get the idea.
- Grid Movement: You can slide the toad in four directions and, of course, push blocks.
- Mystic Tongue: You can also pull blocks with your tongue, provided the path is clear.
- Swallow and Spit: In a brilliant twist, the toad can swallow a block and then spit it out. The spat block will then slide until it hits a wall, another block, or the correct magic circle.
This set of mechanics, combined with a quick retry and undo system, makes every level a true test of strategic thinking.

Publisher Afil Games has become a dominant force in the budget-puzzler space, and Toad Slide is the latest in a long line of quirky titles.
