Wizard101
Wizard101 – now on console, for free

A magical acceptance letter has just appeared on the Xbox and PlayStation stores, as Wizard101, the beloved and long-running wizard turn-based deckbuilding MMORPG has finally made its grand debut on console – for free.

After years of enchanting PC players, Wizard101 brings a new adventure from developer KingsIsle Entertainment and publisher gamigo group to Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Prepare to master powerful spells, explore over 22 whimsical worlds, and team up with friends to unravel the mysteries surrounding a death professor gone rogue. ✨

Welcome to the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts

The story of Wizard101 begins as dark magic has enveloped Wizard City and the many realms of the Spiral. As a new student at the prestigious Ravenwood School of Magical Arts, you might just be the last hope to stop the forces of a rogue professor and his nefarious schemes, which are threatening to upend the balance of the entire world.

The core of Wizard101 is its thrilling and strategic turn-based card battles. You will need to customize your spell deck before each encounter to ensure you have the right cards at the right moment. You can face your enemies alone, or team up with friends to take on bigger threats.

For those with a competitive streak, you can also head to the arena to prove your deckbuilding might in 1v1 or team-based PvP battles.

A Ride Through Space and Time

This is a game of immense scale. With over a thousand hours of questing content and more than 20 different worlds to discover, there is always a new adventure on the horizon as you explore the ever-expanding story of the Spiral.

Wizards are also encouraged to take a break from the action with a host of other activities. You can hatch and train cute pets, craft powerful weapons and gear, reap rewards through gardening, catch rare fish, or personalize your own home with a variety of castle decorations.

A New Beginning on Console

It is important for both new and returning players to know that the console version of Wizard101 is a completely fresh start. It is independent of the previous PC servers, and at this time, cross-progression is unavailable.

Enrolling in Ravenwood: How to Play

Wizard101 is free to download and play, with the free content taking you all the way up to the recently expanded Oasis zone of Krokotopia. As you progress further, content can be unlocked in two ways:

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
