Bubblegum Galaxy – now on PC and console

The galaxy has gone missing – literally. That’s the unusual starting point for Bubblegum Galaxy, a cozy planet-building adventure that has now launched across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam).

Developed by Smarto Club and published by Astrolabe Games, Bubblegum Galaxy blends relaxing tile-placement puzzles with a narrative about workplace life in an inter-dimensional company responsible for maintaining entire galaxies.

Available on Xbox for £16.74, the game tasks players with rebuilding the colourful Bubblegum Galaxy after a mysterious system crash wipes it from existence.

Instead of fighting aliens or piloting starships, your mission is far simpler, and far more creative: design entire planets from scratch. Pressure? Nah!

Become A Planet Architect

In Bubblegum Galaxy, players step into the role of a newly recruited planet architect intern. On your first day at work, things go disastrously wrong when the inter-dimensional server responsible for maintaining the Bubblegum Galaxy suddenly crashes, deleting the entire galaxy in the process.

That’s where your job begins.

Using specialised software on your trusty office computer, you’ll rebuild planets by placing tiles across their surfaces, gradually shaping colourful worlds that meet specific mission goals.

These tasks may include the connecting of tiles of matching colours, the requirements to place a required number of environmental features like trees, and then attempting to optimise planet layouts for efficiency and higher scores.

Every Planet Brings New Challenges

As players progress through the galaxy’s reconstruction, each new planet introduces unique quirks and rules that alter how the tile-placement puzzles work.

Some worlds may restrict where certain tiles can be placed, while others introduce special mechanics that encourage experimentation and creative solutions. These variations ensure that designing planets never becomes repetitive.

Whether you prefer carefully optimising each layout for the highest possible score or simply building visually pleasing worlds, Bubblegum Galaxy offers plenty of flexibility in how you play.

A Cozy Cosmic Experience

Visually, Bubblegum Galaxy leans into bright colours and playful design, presenting each planet as a vibrant canvas waiting to be shaped.

Combined with its relaxed pace and puzzle-driven gameplay, the game offers a calming alternative to more intense strategy or simulation titles. It’s a universe designed for creativity, experimentation and quiet problem-solving.

Ready To Rebuild The Bubblegum Galaxy?

Now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (through the Xbox Store), PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Bubblegum Galaxy invites players to rebuild an entire universe through clever design and puzzle-solving.

Just remember: every planet you create brings the galaxy one step closer to being whole again – and maybe, just maybe, to uncovering why it disappeared in the first place.
