Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure

Everyone’s favourite sabre-toothed squirrel from the blockbuster film franchise, Ice Age, is back in a brand new trailer alongside the release date announcement for the upcoming 3D action-adventure Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure.

Scrat, the disastrously clumsy sabre-toothed squirrel is the star of the show in Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure as he embarks on an epic quest through some classic Ice Age locations to recover his cherished acorn from the ancient Scratazon Temple. He’s on the hunt for the legendary Crystal Nuts, the retrieval of which can unlock his prized possession, and along the way he will face off against fierce prehistoric creatures; only after overcoming these can the missing relics be returned to their rightful home.

Players have to guide Scrat through this perilous journey across the likes of icy terrains, raging geysers and burning lava. Prepare to explore the adventure-filled locations in order to discover treasures that unlock special powers and help Scrat to jump higher, pick up heavier objects and find every last treasure in this all-new, very Nutty, experience.

“This is an exciting time for us as we look to expand on one of the biggest properties in kids’ entertainment in a way only video games can,” said Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games. “Revealing to the world how fun Scrat’s first solo adventure game is, as well as announcing when you’ll be able to play the game itself, is something we hope will delight Ice Age fans of all ages.”

Bandai Namco and Outright Games (the folks behind DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders and Crayola Scoot) have revealed that Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure will release on 18th October, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
