Release date confirmed for FOX n FORESTS on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC

-

Rick the Fox is coming and today FOX n FORESTS has had its release date confirmed!

If you’ve been keeping your nose to the ground then you would already know all about the action platformer that is FOX n FORESTS. Arriving thanks to the crowdfunding masses of Kickstarter, the brains at Bonus Level Entertainment and their publishers, EuroVideo, if you’re after a bit of retro platforming then this is one to check out.

Today though we have news of the fully confirmed release date for FOX n FORESTS as the delightful Rick the Fox looks set to arrive on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC come May 17th 2018.

But what is it? Well, a retro platformer inspired by the likes of Castlevania and Zelda, FOX n FORESTS will place you in the shoes of little Rick the Fox as he goes about his business whilst armed with a super magical crossbow. The good thing is that this crossbow brings with it the ability to change its use as the game progresses, seeing you able to create new platforms out of falling leaves in autumn, freeze surroundings in winter, and use other powers at his disposal.

It will be by mastering the change in seasons will Rick be able to outfox his enemies, explore the mystic forest to the nth degree, solve brain-teasing puzzles, and claim victory against colossal bosses and bring the mystery of the fifth season to light.

Full of modern day game design, whilst seeing a smattering of retro charm thrown in thanks to some glorious 16-Bit visuals and a chiptune soundtrack, to celebrate the release date news, a brand new gameplay trailer has also released. Make sure you check it out and leave us your thoughts and comments regarding the game in the section down below.

We’re seriously looking forward to being able to spend some time as a fox in a forest. Are you?
