Destructive Creations, the development team behind Ancestors Legacy, and 1C have today confirmed that the history inspired squad based real time strategy title (catchy genre that!) will be released on 22nd May 2018 on both Xbox One and PC, with the Windows version also coming in physical form.

Created with the power of Unreal Engine 4, Ancestors Legacy combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields. Prepare for blood to be spilt as you get to hit up an extensive single player campaign inspired by historical events, alongside various modes of intense multiplayer battles.

  • Advanced tactical options combining the use of terrain, experience and morale
  • Cinematic battle camera view puts you right in the center of the action

  • Streamlined resource management and village construction

If that all sounds good to you, and you can’t wait for May, then you may like to know that an Open Multiplayer Beta is being launched on Steam today! Whilst it would be great if we could check this out on Xbox One, those living in PC land will no doubt be more than happy with what is given. All four nations represented in the game are playable within the open beta version on one of the three maps, ranging in size from 2 to 6 players (1v1, 2v2 and 3v3). The fans can be accompanied by the AI, their best friend, the neighbor’s kid, or simply join the lobby and wait for a partner to be found.
