Relic Hunters Legend – a spiritual sequel to Relic Hunters Zero – is a colourful and captivating looter-shooter that has just launched on Xbox.
Defeat the Dastardly Duke!
Now available on Xbox, following a PC launch in late 2023, Relic Hunters Legend is developer Rogue Snail’s latest attempt at a co-op looter-shooter, following on from the immensely popular original.
Set from a top-down perspective, your goal is to blast through hundreds of foes using powerful weapons, with you hopefully upgrading your skills and abilities throughout the game, growing ever-more dangerous. Outside of the fast-paced gunplay that has come to define the genre, you’ll be collecting swathes of loot on your journey to stop Duke Ducan and his empire.
Before hopping into the battlefield, you’ll need to select your Hunter. There’s five to choose from currently, each coming with three skill trees that form the basis of your playstyle.
With the ability to attribute points into each of these skill trees, as well as a Gear and Weapon slots feature to further modify your arsenal, Relic Hunters Legend contains a deep RPG-style suite of systems.
Fun with Friends
Of course, the fun is multiplied when you are enjoying Relic Hunters Legend with friends. Thankfully, each of the seven game modes included scales with up to four players in online co-op multiplayer, with different missions playing out in one of these modes, each requiring you to perform different actions.
Throw in Special Missions with random modifiers, and endgame content, there’s tons to be playing through in Relic Hunters Legend.
