Since release back in August 2019, Remnant: From The Ashes has gone from strength to strength, with multiple paid and free additions complementing the base experience well. But Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games aren’t done yet and today they have announced Subject 2923, the final and most expansive DLC yet.
Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC come August 20th 2020, Remnant From The Ashes – Subject 2923 brings the hit survival experience to a close, as it introduces players to an abandones military base – Ward Prime. This is just one of two unique zones for the game, with the new campaign mode “Subject 2923”, concluding Remnant: From the Ashes’ thrilling post-apocalyptic story.
But what will you get? Well, as you are thrust on an expidition to the the military facility world of Ward Prime in Subject 2923 you will come to find that it holds many unsolved mysteries, including the origins of “The Dreamers” and how they connect to the dreaded Root, the evil force plaguing Earth. You see, back in the 1960s, the US military discovered a large, alien stone etched with symbols along with a wall containing strange runes written in another language. When the runes were deciphered, they revealed the power of the World Stone and how to create Dreamers — humans bonded with powerful entities in these other worlds. The military set up a facility that would become known as Ward Prime for this purpose.
Remnant From The Ashes – Subject 2923 will see us given access to all-new quests, bosses, weapons, trinkets, armor sets and more. And whilst the expansion itself will arrive as a spearate purchase for those already with the base game in hand, in addition to its launch we’ll also see the arrival of Remnant: From the Ashes – Complete Edition, which will include the Remnant: From the Ashes base game, the first premium DLC Swamps of Corsus and this upcoming premium DLC Subject 2923.
