Rento Fortune – Monolit Tycoon brings cheap Monopoly fun to Xbox One

If you want to play proper Monopoly but don’t have any friends to hand, then the opportunity to head to the virtual version with Monopoly Plus or the Hasbro Family Collection has been a good path to take. Now though Ubisoft have got a bit of competition on their hands. Rento anyone?

Available to download right now on Xbox One, Rento Fortune – Monolit Tycooon (to give it its full name), is quite obviously a Monopoly clone that is trying to offer a similar, but different, experience to the market leader.

With solo modes against the AI, a local option for those family evenings and the chance to head online and take on the world, Rento has most definitely got the basics of the property tycoon dice game nailed. With 2-6 players able to take to the board, you’ll find yourself doing all the usual Monopoly actions – building houses, winning auctions and bankrupting players.

But Rento also drops in a wheel of fortune as you risk things on a Russian Roulette board. Will you earn the big bucks or blow it all in an instant?

If you need to take your board game online and have done and dusted the proper Monopoly offerings already available, then perhaps Rento is worth a little shot. The ÂŁ7.99 you’ll need to spend at the Microsoft Store is certainly low enough to see Rento warranting a look.

Game Description:

Rento is online multiplayer business dice game. It is board game for 2 to 6 players. Trade lands, build houses, win auctions, roll wheel of fortune, risk in Russian Roulette and most importantly – have fun. Obtain monopoly over the game board and bankrupt the other players in order to win. If you like Ludo or family dice games – you will like Rento too 🙂 The game is live MULTIPLAYER so you can play with your friends & family on XBOX and also you can play versus online players from all around the world. You can play the game in 3 modes: -ONLINE (vs real people live) and vs your Xbox friends -SOLO (versus AI robots) -Local mode (on the same XBox) Enjoy the first and only true online multiplayer business game in the market.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
