Mixing adventure and management, This Is the Police 2 looks to take things on from the acclaimed original game – and it’ll be hitting Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2018!
Whilst no release date is yet known (later in 2018 will have to do for now), it’s great to see an announcement regarding This Is the Police 2. With a new sheriff in town, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC players will get the chance to head to Sharpwood, a remote border town in the north which has been hit by despair and violence. With smugglers, gangs and screaming populists making the town home, it is the job of a new sheriff to sort things out.
Lilly Reed (voiced by Sarah Hamilton, of the celebrated adventure saga The Longest Journey) is that sheriff and she has to maintain order and peace even though her subordinates are uncouth men who aren’t used to receiving commands from a young woman. But everything changes when a mysterious stranger calling himself Warren Nash appears in Sharpwood. And no one knows what he’ll bring to the town: salvation or perdition.
After the success of the first This Is the Police, you can expect the sequel to offer much the same, but this time it enjoys further unexpected mechanics that will strengthen both the strategic and tactical parts of the game. It won’t be enough just managing the equipment of your policemen and keeping in mind their individual skills, as every single challenge requires direct participation – and the outcomes will depend on every decision you make.
We’ll be sure to bring you more regarding This Is the Police 2 as details drop, but you’ll most definitely want to check out the trailer below. It may be an idea to hit up our review of the original This Is the Police too.
