KEMCO are no strangers to the retro storytelling scene, having launched the likes of Seek Hearts and Dragon Sinker: Descendants of Legend in recent weeks to ensure that gamers across the globe have all manner of retro-filled opportunities to enjoy. Today though that ever-increasing list of KEMCO titles has expanded with the launch of Monster Viator on Xbox One and PC.

Available right now for ÂŁ12.49 from the Xbox Store, Monster Viator is KEMCO’s latest fantasy RPG to come complete with beautiful pixel animations and a retro hitting feel, all whilst mixing in some classic turn-based battles.

Telling the tale of Cutler, you’ll find yourself frequenting the lands of Aira in Monster Viator, as he goes about attempting to control monsters – with a harp, no less – trying to rediscover his lost memories in the process. Working as a fairy tale adventure, Monster Viator promises much too – dragon riding, river rafting and more will all be viable options for this young shepherd to enjoy.

KEMCO are promising that this tale will see you joining in the action with more than 20 monsters, each of whom will have their own unique abilities and personalities, and plenty of challenging dungeons to navigate through. And in our eyes, after the success of previous KEMCO titles, that makes it an intriguing prospect.

If you agree and wish to fall into the latest fantasy world to hit Xbox One and PC then head to the Xbox Store or the official Steam page and pick up a copy. Make sure you look out for our full review of Monster Viator on Xbox One too – it’s coming real soon.

And if you do decide to embark on this journey, you’ll find a few little DLC pieces available too. The Damage x2 add-on will set you back ÂŁ2.49, whilst the Experience x3 addition will be ÂŁ4.19. Further to that the White Pancho will cost the same amount (ÂŁ4.19), ensuring that at no point in Monster Viator will you discover any encounters in the dungeons, whilst gifting the ability of fast movement.

Game Description:

Unable to remember who he is, Culter is mysteriously able to communicate with monsters. He soon comes across Aira, a shepherd who controls monsters with a harp and sets out together on a journey to uncover his memories. A fairy-tale like adventure with a legendary Hero with a thousand monsters, a Fountain of Truth and a witch unfolds! Ride a dragon and soar the skies or on a raft down the river! Compelling pixel art breathes life into your adventure. Journey with more than 20 monsters, each with their own abilities and personalities. Hang tight and take your time in exploring not only challenging dungeons but what this fantasy RPG has to offer!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
