Kicking, slapping and chopping up zombies has never quite been as satisfying as in the gruesomely visceral Dying Light 2 Stay Human, which was released unto zombie-apocalypse fans back at the top of 2022. It proved to be an excellent sequel to the original Dying Light, with even more crazy weapons, near-inconceivable parkour moves and crazed zeds that makes the series so adored. But now it’s time to expand with Bloody Ties.
And now, with the release of the Bloody Ties story DLC today on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, we can all once again return to this ravaged wasteland the survivors of Dying Light 2 call home. However, where the base game taught you to survive, Bloody Ties will have you thriving, with promises of fame, money and freedom offered to Aiden – our protagonist – by virtue of a good old fashioned death game. What could go wrong?
Bloody Ties takes what is perhaps the best part of Dying Light 2 – the crunching, slashing combat – and runs with it. Putting Aiden into a tournament complete with unimaginable riches bestowed upon the victor, as well as a life of glitz and glamour, all you have to do is beat all your other competitors down to a pulp. It’s classic Gladiator combat, and the audience lap it up like a zombie eats brains. Indicative of the world you find yourself in, not everything is as it seems, and soon you’ll scratch below the surface of this bloodsport, and uncover the shady dealings beneath.
What with all the killing going on, you can bet yourself there will be brand new weapons, deathly challenges and quests to complete throughout the course of the Bloody Ties story, just adding to the hundreds of extras that Dying Light 2 has for you, if you stray away from the main story.
For those of you with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the Bloody Ties DLC will be coming to you free of charge, with no separate purchase required.
