You’ve managed to successfully open a variety of aquariums all over the world, but isn’t it time for a bit of a freshen up? Rumours are flying around that the guests aren’t happy seeing the same old fish in the same old environments. Just as well then that Megaquarium is receiving its first expansion on consoles – Freshwater Frenzy.
Available today on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Freshwater Frenzy will be bringing with it more than just new fish to Megaquarium. Reptiles such as turtles and crocodiles are to be included, with specific tanks for each. The new suspended platforms can give guests a new perspective of your inhabitants whilst also bridging areas of your aquariums today. Also included are:
- 5 levels in a freshwater-focused campaign
- 30 freshwater species
- 7 new tanks
- 4 accessories to equip your staff
- Dozens of new objects including decorations, plants, equipment and posters
- 4 brand new paints to keep your aquarium looking “fresh”
Freshwater fish bring with them their own unique requirements, and Megaquarium has you covered for these too. For the first time ever, you can rear baby animals within your own aquarium. Anyone that has played the base game will know that each inhabitant has their own unique needs and these younglings will be no different.
The same goes for maintaining pH levels of your water, another new feature introduced in Freshwater Frenzy. New items can help you achieve this naturally, but there are also machines able to keep levels steady. Just remember to repair them once in a while.
Freshwater Frenzy also features its own campaign, accessories for your staff, hybrid species and a variety of new plants.
Freshwater Frenzy is on the Xbox Store now priced at £8.79, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. You will need the base game for it, and Megaquarium comes in at £19.99. You can play the game and the DLC on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch too.
