When two utterly adorable cats in love are separated unexpectedly, it’s going to take a fair bit of problem solving to reunite them. That’s the task at hand in the puzzling action found within Yoko & Yuki: Dr. Rat’s Revenge on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Coming from developers Hoodoo Bear – who you may remember as the folks behind Oliver’s Adventures in the Fairyland – the premise of Yoko & Yuki: Dr. Rat’s Revenge sees two loved-up cats torn apart. This is because the dastardly doctor Rat has cat-napped Yuki, which leaves poor Yoko all alone. Fortunately, you’re going to help Yoko become a hero and save Yuki by using a variety of gadgets to solve whatever puzzles lie ahead.

As Yoko is not your average cat, expect the wannabe saviour to wield scissors for cutting ropes, activate the gravitron to rotate the world where necessary, and use a special spray to uncover hidden objects. It may seem easy at the outset, but the puzzles will soon get more challenging and really test your wits. There are plenty of hazards to overcome along the way, including laser beams and some rather spiky obstacles.

If it’s family-friendly fun you’re after, then Yoko & Yuki: Dr. Rat’s Revenge is certainly a candidate to consider. You’ll be able to find it on the Xbox Store for a mere £4.19, which seems low enough to take a punt on. Should you prefer to do so, you could pick it up from the Nintendo eShop instead – the choice is yours!

Game Description:

Yoko & Yuki: Dr. Rat’s Revenge is a family game suitable for kids of all ages. Yoko and Yuki are two adorable cats in love with each other. But the devious doctor Rat stole Yuki from Yoko. Now it’s time to do some cat business — to save the girlfriend, using helpful gadgets and finding the solution for any puzzle. That is no ordinary cat — our hero is equipped with scissors to cut ropes, gravitron to flip the world and spray can to find hidden objects. And the game gets harder and harder with new puzzles and challenges. Daring players would be handsomely rewarded for using their wits and helping two cats to achieve their happiness!

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
