We’ve been gaming for the best part of forty years, so how have we missed the Richman series? We don’t know the answer to that, but what we do know is that Richman 10 (yes, 10) is now on Xbox. And it comes with Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Previously available on Steam and Nintendo Switch (and no, we didn’t play it on those either), Richman 10 hits the Xbox eco-system via the E-Home Entertainment team, providing those with a love for Microsoft’s big black – or white – boxes the chance to take in an alternative to Monopoly. Bet you never thought you needed an alternative, eh?

It’s priced at £12.49, which seems a fair old whack for such a game, but we’ll let it slide if the gameplay holds up. We’re planning to review so will let you know how Richman 10 on Xbox Series X|S handles, but with Xbox Play Anywhere support, full Series X|S optimisation, Smart Delivery in the house and more, we’re pretty hopeful it delivers.

But what will it deliver? Well, the Xbox Store page is a little bitty so we’re picking what we can and basically have concluded that this is big boys’ Monopoly. Team formations, setting fire to enemies and the like are a world away from just chucking the old Boot or Dog from the board whenever you found yourself bankrupt.

From there though, we’re not really sure what to expect, but hey, that’s what makes this gaming lark all the more appealing and interesting. Pay up, jump in, see what’s what and then make a decision on whether it’s a value for money proposition. What more could you ask for in life? What do you mean you just want to play standard Monopoly?

Should you be as intrigued as us by Richman 10, and think this could be a starting point to discoveration of Richman 1 through to 9, then head over to the Xbox Store and grab your download. Alternatively, take home the PC (Steam) or Switch version. Or buy them all if you’re a proper Richman.

Let us know what you think of it once you dominate that board.

Game Description:

The game uses turn system, initially all players have certain deposits, cash, cards. The number of steps to move is determined by casting dice. The landless property can be purchased when trampling on the enemy’s property, and the toll will be paid when trampling on the enemy’s property. In addition to the real estate grid, there are also bank, news, shop, magic house and other event lattices in the map, which make the game full of variables and entertainment. Reasonable use of the cards in hand can actively intervene in randomness, enhance strategy, maximize their own interests, and lay a good foundation for the final victory.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
