Over the last few years the Milestone Studios team have had the motorcycle gaming scene pretty much sewn up – Monster Energy, RIDE and the MotoGP series‘ are all under their wing. But across those same years the team at NACON have slowly begun to make a name for themselves, taking up residence across a range of genres. And now it’s that two-wheeled vibe that they have set in their sights as they detail and date RiMS Racing for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Accompanied by a brand new video that feeds on the fact that in RiMS Racing you are not JUST a rider, come all the details you could ever wish to know in regards the game.

Due to launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC come August 19th 2021, RiMS Racing will combine the mechanics and racing of the bike scene as one, proving that it’s not just what you do on the track that makes the difference.

With the RaceWard Studio team covering the development, making mechanics a central part of the game, RiMS Racing will look to provide a unique simulation experience that requires both the best in engineering and riding skills. Using an innovative mechanics management system, you will be able to optimise every part of your bike down to the smallest component, and with over 500 official spare parts available and more than 200 official equipment items for the rider, RiMS Racing looks set to deliver a new standard for customisation options.

You see, just like if you were a real rider, in RiMS you will be able to analyse the behaviour of your motorcycle in real time to optimise your set-up. From brake disc temperature and tyre pressure to suspension behaviour and electronics, the ultra-realistic and precise physics of RiMS Racing recreates every hazard of the race.

The adventure you take in will start by choosing a motorcycle from eight of the most powerful European and Japanese models, recreated with unparalleled accuracy thanks to tight collaboration with the manufacturers. The video below these words features the MV Agusta F4 RC and its precision mechanics – this four-cylinder bike with over 200 horsepower is MV Agusta’s flagship model and is fitted with an Ohlins TTX 36 shock absorber, Brembo radial braking system and fairing made primarily of carbon. All these components are reproduced in the finest detail in RiMS Racing.

But there’s also another iconic motorcycle that players will love riding – the Ducati Panigale V4 R. With this masterpiece from Ducati, the Italian manufacturer of sport-inspired motorcycles characterised by high-performance engines, innovative design and cutting-edge technology, every detail has been designed specifically for racing: aerodynamics, the chassis, performance, even the mesmerising sound of its engine.

Of course, it won’t just be about the bikes and multiple circuits will also be in place. Expect to be thrilled by the likes of Silverstone Circuit, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Suzuka Circuit, Nürburgring GP Track, Circuit Paul Ricard and more as you travel the world and enjoy thrilling races on 10 faithfully recreated official circuits. There’s road racing too, with five routes in the stunning landscapes of the United States, Norway, Australia, Spain and Italy which have been recreated for a different racing experience on two wheels.

RiMS Racing will be available on August 19th 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. For now hit up the trailer and stay tuned for more info as and when we have it.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
