We’ve been pretty much everywhere with Dovetail Games’ Train Sim World 2 – the Isle of Wight, the London Underground, Germany and across the most stunning of Swiss scenery. Today though we go straight into the heart of The Big Apple as the Harlem Line rolls out.
Available to purchase, download and add into your Train Sim World 2 experience right now is the expansion known as the Harlem Line: Grand Central Terminal – North White Plains. It’s priced at £24.99 (expensive, but about right for any Train Sim World 2 DLC drop) and does pretty much as you would expect, throwing you onto the Harlem Line and left to make your way from Grand Central Terminal right out to the North White Plains.
You’ll need the base game of Train Sim World 2 to hand in order to enjoy what the Harlem Line: Grand Central Terminal – North White Plains content includes, but we’d hazard a guess and say that if you’re reading this, you’ll probably already fully immersed in what Dovetail have created.
Should you decide to step on board what is on offer here then you should expect to be found operating some modern – and classic – machinery, helping the humble folk make their way around the world. It’s the Harlem River that is the main focus of this expansion with the route taking you from Gran Central Terminal, over Park Avenue and down into Harlem 125th Street. From there, Woodlawn awaits, as does the Bronx River and finally the North White Plains.
It’s a part of the world that us Brit folk can only dream of traversing, but with the Harlem Line: Grand Central Terminal – North White Plains DLC adding in the M3A and M7A EMUs, it’s one that we’re looking to experience sooner rather than later.
Should you agree and have a copy of Train Sim World 2 to hand, you’ll be able to pick up the Harlem Line: Grand Central Terminal – North White Plains content from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the PlayStation Store for those on PS4 and PS5, and PC.
DLC Description:
Operate modern and classic equipment as you ferry commuters in and out of the iconic Grand Central Terminal; hurry them across the tightly packed Park Avenue, over the Harlem River, and out to the New York suburbs with Train Sim World 2: Harlem Line. The Harlem Line offers non-stop action through the heart of the “The Big Apple”. From Grand Central Terminal, the route emerges and rides above Park Avenue, before arriving at Harlem 125th Street. The line continues, extending onward through Woodlawn, and along the Bronx River to North White Plains. Step on board a duo of Metro-North equipment, the M3A and M7A EMUs, and get to work operating trains out of the iconic Grand Central Terminal. Take charge of a multitude of service types, from local and express trains to “deadhead” empty trains, and additionally operate game-day trains to Yankees-East 153rd Street.
