It certainly looks cheap enough, and the super low price tag in place probably means that Roarr! Jurassic Edition is not going to be thought of when the end of year awards roll around, but can you really ignore the chance to go dino brawling on Xbox One?
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Roarr! Jurassic Edition will set you back just a measly £4.19, and it is that price tag which instantly makes it a tempting purchase. But when you throw in the fact that this is a game that allows for dinosaur-based brawling, and things step up a gear.
Cheap and cheerful it may be but Roarr! Jurassic Edition is the Xbox One version of Roarr! The Adventures of Rampage Rex – a game that rocked up onto PC and Steam at the backend of 2018. And it is this which will give us console gamers the chance to fall into a game that promises to ‘make Jurassic Pack look like some fairy tale for kids’.
Now, I’m not sure whether that statement will ring true or not, but given the chance to take control of old Rex as he starts to dish out some justice to an invading force just comes with a bit of an appeal. Running as a tribute to the classic brawling games from yesteryear, this is quite possibly a decent little addition to the library for those looking for a mindless destructothon, or for a 10 minute blast when a group of mates get together.
With 25 enemies to take down, no less than 6 different isles to explore, that low low price of £4.19 really does make a download of Roarr! Jurassic Edition on Xbox One tempting. If you agree, clamber on other to the Xbox Store and watch the magic happen. Just be aware that it may not quite have the same amount of depth to it as that other dinosaur-themed game on Xbox One – the brilliant Jurassic World Evolution.
