The word ‘legends’ gets banded around far too much for our liking, but today’s Rock Band 4 announcement really does include some legendary musical gods! It’s time to welcome Van Halen to Harmonix’s upcoming party.
Harmonix and Mad Catz have today confirmed that Van Halen will join the Rock Band library. Unfortunately just the one song will be present from launch (booo), but there are promises that further tracks will be made available from the Rock Band Music Store shortly after release (yeaah).
“For years we’ve wanted to bring Van Halen’s music to Rock Band,” added Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak. “Not only are the songs incredible in their own right, but they’re amazingly fun to play and perform, whether you’re on guitar, bass, drums, or vocals.”
The Rock Band 4 line-up is just getting better and better with music from Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold, The Black Keys, Elvis Presley, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, St. Vincent, Queens of the Stone Age, The Who, and more already confirmed…and that doesn’t include the 1500 or so that will also be available from the Music Store as downloadable content.
You’ll be able to get hold of Rock Band 4 on Xbox One and PS4 come the 6th October 2015.
