Following the recent release of Nicole, Ratalaika Games are back with another visual novel from developers Winter Wolves in the form of Roommates. Prepare to share your dorm life with a few potential love interests and maybe have a chuckle along the way.
Roommates on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is another dating sim and visual novel hybrid, in which you’ll live in the halls of the prestigious Latin House, located at a pretty good college. Playing as either Max, a cool rock god, or Anne, an intelligent book-worm, you get to experience their first year. There will be bitter professors to contend with, a distracting student body, and four other tenants to worry about. It’s also going to need you to organise the class load, choose what jobs they take on and do a little bit of romancing.
Depending who you play as in this light-hearted visual novel determines which characters you can enjoy some extracurricular activities with. Anne has the likes of Dominic, Max, Rakesh, and Isabella to romance, while Max will be able to woo the latter two of those as well as Sally and Anne.
Roommates won’t be a cheap date however, as it’s priced at £19.99 on the Xbox Store – although for the first two weeks it’s reduced to £15.99. You’ll also find it on the PS Store right now and the Nintendo eShop on 4th September, should those platforms be more to your liking. Do get in touch and let us know if you end up buying it as we’d love to know your thoughts.
