Rocket League becomes a surprise addition to Xbox Game Pass

-

We knew there was going to be another game added to the Xbox Game Pass scheme this month, but nobody could’ve predicted it would end up being the adrenaline pumping action of Rocket League. Not bad, eh?

If you’ve never played Rocket League, it’s basically like playing high octane football using rocket-fuelled Battle-Cars. Every match plays out differently, with the fast-paced experience providing a load of OMG moments, amazing goals and unbelievable goal-line saves – not to mention the hilarious blunders that can occur. With options for team based and solo play, as well as variations on the basic setup which involve power-ups, basketball hoops and even hockey pucks, there’s plenty to suit whether you just fancy taking it easy in the unranked modes or want to test your skills in the realm of ranked play.

Given the amount of customisation on offer, your Battle-Car can be kitted out with a wide range of decals, toppers, flags and more, to ensure it puts the fear into the opposition – or at least looks fabulous. Additional items are rewarded regularly during the post-match section, meaning you’ll have choices galore in no time at all.

There are very few games on Xbox One as exciting as Rocket League, so if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, be sure to give it a download over on the Microsoft Store and get involved today. Should you find that it’s the best thing since sliced bread, check out the various pieces of DLC available for it too, with discounts on those in place for Xbox Game Pass players.

Will the inclusion of Rocket League encourage you to sign up to Xbox Game Pass, or, if you’re a current subscriber, has it convinced you to stick with the service a bit longer? Let us know via all of the usual methods!

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
