Rocksmith sees the return of Metal Mix II

Back in May of 2018 we saw the Rocksmith library get hit with a smattering of proper metal, as the Metal Mix Song Pack delivered tunes from Morbid Angel, Testament and Darkthrone. Today though it’s time to move things on with even more tracks from the genre, with the arrival of the Metal Mix II Song Pack.

Available for Rocksmith players to add into their game right now are three new artists and three new tunes provided by the Metal Mix Song Pack II. Priced up at £6.69, this gives access to bands like Machine Head, the Finnish extreme metallers Children of Bodom and everyone’s favourite American Death metal offering, Death.

Also available to pick up as individual purchases at £2.49 each, the following tunes are in place…

  • Machine Head – Davidian
  • Children of Bodom – Are You Dead Yet?
  • Death – Crystal Mountain

If metal is your thing and you find yourself worrying that many Rocksmith DLC packs are just a bit tame to your liking, then getting involved in this latest content pack is a no-brainer. You’ll need the base game of Rocksmith to hand – either the 2014 Edition or the full on Rocksmith Remastered will sort you out – before heading to the usual digital stores to get the download moving.

Whether you’re rocking out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 or PS3 matters little when the opportunity to learn, play and master some of the best metal tracks becomes available. Make sure you put your skills to the test right now.

Should you prefer a different option then the team behind Rocksmith have provided plenty of other options over the months too. In fact, we’d be hugely surprised if there wasn’t some kind of track and song pack available that isn’t to your liking. Let us know what you decide to pick up – the comments are down below and we’re on all the usual social channels.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
