But the difference is, in Duck Souls+ you’ll be found controlling a cute little duck on a quest to find his long lost eggs. What’s not to like?
Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, with a Nintendo Switch launch rocking up in a couple of days time, Duck Souls+ is the latest cutesy title to be taken under the wing of Ratalaika Games in order to be delivered to the mass console market at a super cheap, frankly stupidly low, price.
Costing you just £4.99 from the Xbox Store, Duck Souls+ follows on from other recent Ratalaika titles like Milo’s Quest and Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet to provide a fun little platforming romp for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo players to fully embrace. But unlike the series from which it has obviously ripped the name, this is a fast paced platformer in which you are left to help a little duck hunt down a host of lost eggs in order to save his species.
With traps to navigate past and a deadly world ahead, things won’t be easy for this little quacker yet should you be able to get to grips with the mechanics at hand, will discover that no less than 100 hand-created levels are ready for reaping. Throw in a pretty steep difficulty level, and plenty of customisation opportunities and there seems to be much to love about Duck Souls+. Let’s just hope it’s not quite as brutal as the Dark Souls series. Surely with a little feathered friend to hand that can’t possibly be the case?
