Ready for the fast paced, player versus zombie madness that World War Z is looking to provide? You won’t have to wait too much longer as today Saber Interactive have detailed the full release date on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Delivering nothing less than heart pounding multiplayer action, World War Z from Saber Interactive will be launching on Xbox One, PS4 and PC come April 16th 2019.

Inspired by the blockbusting action film from Paramount Pictures, World War Z focuses much of its attention on the core four-player cooperative action that sees players put up against relentless swarms of AI zombies. This “Players vs. Players vs. Zombie” mode (PvPvZ) should be found to bring a completely unique experience, challenging you to outlive both the living and the dead across a wide variety of competitive modes, all of which have been designed for 4v4 combat in mind.

What separates the PvPvE found in World War Z from all the other multiplayer games out there though is in the zombie swarm, pushing through the arena throughout the match and forcing players to battle both each other and the undead. Ever wanted to partake in something which can see the tide of the battle turn in an instant? World War Z is it.

Come that April 16th 2019 release date, World War Z will launch with the following multiplayer modes in place:

  • Scavenge Raid: players race to secure resources across the map to win
  • Vaccine Hunt: players must pick up and hold an object to earn point for the team.
  • Swarm Deathmatch: Two teams go head to head in a bitter fight to the end
  • Swarm Domination: Capture zones to earn points and win a team victory
  • King of the Hill: Capture a single hill, then control it to earn victory points

It’s not just all about the game modes though and thanks to the power of Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine, World War Z will be capable of unleashing hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies on players at any one time. With the nail-biting action experience taking us around the world – from New York to Moscow, across to Jerusalem and more – no matter whether you are playing in co-op with up to 3 friends using six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps, or prefer to go it alone and take your chances elsewhere, the opportunity to demolish the undead menace and survive another day is one of high intrigue.

Will you be checking out World War Z once it releases on Xbox One, PS4 and PC come April 16th? Let us know in the comments and make sure you check out the trailer below.
