You probably played Saints Row: The Third back when it originally released in 2011, and there’s a good chance that you spent time with the Third Street Saints once more with the Remastered version on Xbox One, PS4 and PC last year. Well, the Saints are still coming, refusing to lay down and die with full Xbox Series X|S and PS5 next-gen goodies taking the madness to all-new levels.
Available right now on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 are fully upgraded next generation Saints, as Deep Silver take the already Remastered Xbox One and PS4 versions of The Third and slap on a host of ever shiny goodies. Oh, and for good measure, those on PC aren’t being left out either as the game launches on Steam and GOG too.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered is, as the name suggests, the Remastered version of the original Saints Row: The Third from back in 2011. Now though Xbox Series X|S and PS5 players are able to enjoy spending time in Steelport City with free upgrades to the older generation version of the game dropping in a higher performance in terms of the game engine, improvements to lighting and texture resolution and more.
As you would expect to hear, playing Saints Row: The Third Remastered on Xbox Series X and PS5 will see 60 frames per second and dynamic 4K resolution thrown your way. Those on Xbox Series S meanwhile will get the added option of two modes – Performance mode or Beauty mode – which will either run things at 60fpc and a 1080 resolution, or 30fps with upscaled 4K.
PS5 owners get even more goodies, with Activities support and a subtle signature Saints purple glow emitting from the DualSense controller. We want that too!
Improved loading times are in place to seal the deal so if you have a copy of Saints Row: The Third Remastered to hand on Xbox One or PS4 and have already upgraded your console to Xbox Series X|S or PS5, you’d be mad to not take advantage of the free upgrade and Smart Delivery options on the table.
If you don’t yet have a copy of the game, you’re missing out on some serious fun. The Xbox Store will provide the download you need, with the game present at £32.99 from there. The PlayStation Store will do similar.
