Samurai Academy Paws of Fury – coming in November

The world’s most unlikely samurai beagle is drawing his sword for a brand-new adventure – Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury.

Maximum Entertainment, in partnership with developers ZEROlife Games and Fishing Cactus, has officially announced Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury.

The new game, which picks up where the animated film Paws of Fury left off, is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 20th, 2025.

Revealed with a brand-new announcement trailer, this new journey will see the return of Hank and his mentor Jimbo as they battle new forces that threaten the village of Kakamucho.

A New Chapter for a Beloved Underdog

Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is an all-new story that continues the adventures of Hank, the brave beagle who dreamed of becoming a samurai. Just when he and his wise mentor, Jimbo, thought they could finally live in peace, a new threat emerges. The mighty Shogun himself has set his sights on crushing the duo and the villages under their protection with his formidable cat armies.

It’s up to you to defend the settlements, safeguard the villagers, and reclaim the island – one battle at a time.

Arcade Action for All Ages

This new title is designed to be the perfect entry-level action-adventure for the whole family, blending fast-paced, accessible combat with open-world exploration and a host of colourful missions.

The core of the game is its fast-paced, arcade-style combat. You will need to master a variety of samurai skills to fend off the Shogun’s cat armies and protect the innocent villagers.

You don’t have to face the Shogun alone. The game will feature a full two-player co-op mode on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, allowing you and a friend to team up as Hank and Jimbo and take on the adventure together.

The adventure is set against the familiar and beautiful backdrop of Kakamucho. You will be able to explore this open world, taking on unique puzzles and a host of colourful missions as you work to push back the Shogun’s forces.

How to Play

Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury will be available digitally on all platforms, with a physical retail version also available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

A new journey of courage, honour, and a little bit of canine chaos is about to begin. For fans of the film and anyone looking for a fun, accessible, and family-friendly co-op adventure, Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury is a must-watch.

The battle for Kakamucho starts on November 20th.
