Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 expands once more with Hibiki Takane

It may have been rebooted in 2019, but it’s only in the last couple of months that Samurai Shodown has begun to find a place in the hearts of gamers, with a move to next-gen optimisation at the fore of that. But that love has been helped by the constant addition to the in-game character roster, with Season Pass 3 having recently rocked up to begin a new phase of inclusions. Today a new character comes about via that Season Pass – Hibiki Takane.

Available to add into your Samurai Shodown experience right now, Hibiki Takane is the latest character to join the fray, readying themselves for action. It ensures that no matter whether you are battling it out on previous generation consoles, or the new next-gen option with Xbox Series X|S, if you’re looking for some additional options, you’re now sorted.

Running an individual standalone purchase price of £4.99, or available as the second of four characters found in the Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3, Hibiki Takane follows on from the introduction of CHAM CHAM in March, delivering the same ideas just with a slightly different take.

If you’re a fan of what SNK have delivered with the rebooted Samurai Shodown, and wish to expand things a little, it’s well worth a minute or two of your time as you consider a purchase of Hibiki Takane.

Let us know in the comments or via the usual social media channels if you decide to increase the roster in your game. Remember, with further character introductions a little further down the line through the rest of Season Pass 3, the options are unlikely to end just yet. In fact, the future looks extremely bright for Samurai Shodown and its players.

You’ll find the base game of Samurai Shodown kicking around on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

DLC Description:

This digital purchase will unlock the DLC character “HIBIKI TAKANE” for your copy of SAMURAI SHODOWN.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
