Scaleblight Mythal, the conclusion of Neverwinter: Dragonbone Vale, launches on console

We’re well used to running a few weeks behind the PC players in terms of what Neverwinter brings, but today it’s time for us console folk to be treated to the final showing of Neverwinter: Dragonbone Vale with Scaleblight Mythal.

Dragonbone Vale first arrived on Xbox and PlayStation at the beginning of February, as the Neverwinter world opened up massively. Today though it’s time for that segment to close as Scaleblight Mythal expands away from the PC base to console.

From today those Neverwinter explorers on Xbox and PlayStation can experience the new Epic Adventure, Scaleblight Mythal, which introduces the Scaleblight Summit region, the conclusion of Dragonbone Vale’s story, the final Heroic Encounter, “Scales to Bones,” featuring a challenging battle against an ancient Red Dragon, new rewards and more.

In order to reclaim the Dragonbone Vale, players will need to band together with members of the Shield of the North Alliance as they look to put a stop to Valindra Shadowmantle and the Cult of the Dragon from invoking Rite of the Dracolich to bring undeath to all dragons in Faerûn.

With Neverwinter running the free-to-play route – and if you want to grab a copy, head to the Xbox Store or PlayStation Store – and the Scaleblight Mythal rolling out to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 players right now, there’s little to no reason to not get involved.

Fire up Neverwinter right now and take in what Scaleblight Mythal is able to offer. Of course, you can play it on PC through Steam too.

Let us know how you feel about the conclusion of Dragonbone Vale. The comments are below and we’re on the usual social channels as well. You’d do well to check out the official launch trailer for the expansion too. It’s right below these words.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
