Season Finale of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me Revealed

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me Xbox

Early finishers of the third instalment of The Dark Pictures Anthology – House of Ashes – will have already been treated to a glimpse of The Devil in Me. However, the rest of us can now get a first look at the fourth and final instalment of season one of The Dark Pictures Anthology. The Devil in Me will be releasing on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. No release date is currently known.

Described as the anthology’s most bloodcurdling episode yet, the teaser trailer gives us the smallest glimpse of things to come without giving anything away. But let’s speculate regardless! We see a few of the new characters who we get to choose whether they live or die and whatever the hell that thing is at the end. An animatronic corpse?! Equal parts disgusting and intriguing.

So far in The Dark Pictures Anthology we have been to the bottom of the sea, experienced a witch trial and uncovered the real secrets beneath the Iraq war (and it wasn’t weapons of mass destruction). The press release for The Devil in Me refers to a place as ‘Murder Castle’, a replica building of America’s first serial killer, H.H. Holmes. Could this be a more traditional haunted house horror tale? Something tells me with that animatronic corpse we will likely be pawns in some twisted and horrific games.

Following on from Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes will be no mean feat. The first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology has gone from strength to strength with each subsequent release so here is hoping The Devil in Me temporarily ends things on a high. And hopefully referring to The Devil in Me as a season finale means that more twisted tales are on the horizon from the team at Supermassive Games in a similar format. Now, if we could just get Until Dawn released on Xbox consoles in the downtime that would be perfect.

Have you been brave enough to play any of the titles yet? Let us know in the comments below.
