Another post-apocalyptic zombie game arrives on the Xbox One today, but Dead Alliance offers something different from the multitude of others already out there.
Available in two different forms, Dead Alliance is a multiplayer focussed FPS-MOBA where two teams of four face-off against each other in old military bases, that just so happen to be overrun by the walking dead also. While these are obviously a major distraction, they can be used to your advantage to take down the opposition using Z-Mods.
Z-Mods are a series of thrown items that you can use to repel, attract or boost the zombies as you see fit. See a cluster of enemies with no zombies round them? Throw a Z-Mod their way and watch them get swarmed! Is your base a little too cramped with zombies? Repel them in all directions with a Z-Mod! Just remember that the opposing team have access to the same Z-Mods as you.
The game comes in two versions on the Xbox Games Store: One priced at £19.99 that just contains the multiplayer component of Dead Alliance, or the full priced version at £29.99 which includes single-player as well. Should you purchase the Multiplayer Edition and decide you want more at a later date, then the Full Game Upgrade is available to unlock the solo content for £14.99.
