As one of the most popular mobile games in recent years, picking up over 100 million downloads in total, it’s safe to say that Hole io went mega-viral. In the last few months, it’s made its way over to PlayStation, Switch and PC, and is finally now receiving an Xbox release. Let’s see what all the hype is about!
Swallow them Hole
Now available on Xbox consoles for the very first time, Hole io is the brainchild of French developers VOODOO.
Here, players will control a hole in the ground, and move around the map in order to cause anyone and anything to fall into said hole. As you ‘eat’ more and more, you’ll grow larger in diameter, until you manage to swallow entire buildings! When you hop into local multiplayer with up to four players, you’ll also be able to grow larger than other players, in order to take them down.
Think of proceedings like a competitive version of Annapurna Interactive’s Donut County.
There’s six unique and colourful maps to explore, each with their own items to swallow, an endless mode to achieve high scores in, cosmetics to spruce up your black hole, and power-ups to bolster your swallowing ability.

Hole io is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. You can pick up a copy of Hole io via the Xbox Store for just £4.19.
Available alongside the base game of Hole io are three separate DLC packs, costing £1.69 each from the Xbox Store. Each of the Animals DLC, Freaks DLC and Red Planet DLC will add one new map to the game, as well as a whole host of skins to try on.
