Remember Eddie the Eagle Edwards? Well, with Ultimate Ski Jumping 2020 on Xbox One you’ll be able to harness your inner ski jumping skills. Unlike Eddie.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Ultimate Ski Jumping 2020 comes about thanks to the old-school sports titles of yesteryear – the ones that were around as Edwards was failing at the Calgary Winter Olympics back in 1988.

Priced up at £8.39 as a standalone title, or in a rather nifty Blue Sunset Games special bundle that also delivers Glaive Brick Breaker for a special £14.99 price, Ultimate Ski Jumping 2020 does as it says on the tin, putting you in the shoes of a ski jumper who is going all out to take down the competition and prove their worth on the circuit.

With a campaign mode in place, the opportunity to go up against others in mulitplayer, and five different difficulty levels ready to go, if you’ve ever wished to throw yourself down the biggest slope you can find, and try not to end up in a mess of broken bones at the other end, then this may well be your best bet.

Tournament options are also available, alongside that gaming staple of Quickplay which will let you set the rules as you see fit. With old-school visuals whisking us back a few decades, different types of hills available – including those which take us to the Moon – and the chance to customise things slightly, this is the ski jumping game to rule them all. Let’s just gloss over the fact that the genre is rather small.

If you’re tempted and are feeling very Olympic today, giving this Ultimate Ski Jumping 2020 lark a shot, then head to the Xbox Store and take in a download. If not, then why not? Are you waiting for Ultimate Bobsled 2021?

Game Description:

Ultimate Ski Jumping 2020 is an oldschool, pixelart sports game in which you play as a ski jumper. Compete in tournaments, beat your hi-scores. You can play in campaign mode or challenge others in multiplayer. Have a competition with AI jumpers on 5 difficulty levels!
