The are numerous ways of taking in musical gaming adventures but perhaps the silliest is that of Wandersong on Xbox One.

Available to purchase and download from the Xbox Store for Xbox One, or by making the most of your sweet Xbox Game Pass subscription, Wandersong sees you playing out proceedings as a silly old bard; a bard who must sing to save the world.

Priced at ÂŁ16.47 – or available for free to those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription – Wandersong promises no less than 10 hours of unique adventuring as you take on the role of this bard, and sing to interact with the world, all in order to help save the universe from ending early.

Singing songs is just the start of the action though and with more than 150 characters to meet, greet, sing to, and annoy, this is certainly looking like one deep, yet utterly silly, journey. Throw in a dance button that lets you, um, dance, and a glorious visual style that not only provides even more fun, but comes with a color-blind mode, and things are looking even more tasty for Wandersong.

Features include:

  • – 10-12 hours of adventure!
  • – Use singing to interact with the world!
  • – 150+ characters to meet and discover!
  • – 150+ characters to annoy with your singing!
  • – The DANCE BUTTON… dance anytime, anywhere!
  • – Whimsy!
  • – Fully accessible to color-blind and deaf players!

Tempted? Got Xbox Game Pass? If you do then checking out Wandersong on Xbox One is a no-brainer and we urge you to fire up your console and give this a look immediately. If you don’t have a subscription to the service though then paying up the ÂŁ16.74 – discounted at launch to ÂŁ13.39 – is still something to seriously consider.

If you’re unsure though, make sure you keep an eye out for our full upcoming review.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
