The Scribblenauts series may be widely regarded as a Nintendo-based product, but not any more, as today marks the date that Scribblenauts Showdown hits the Xbox and Playstation masses!
Whilst it is normally left to you to utilise the ability to conjure thousands of items to solve puzzles across various worlds, this time round the enemy will be your very own family and friends, with up to four players being able to get in on the action.
By using your own imagination you will be able to bring in over 35,000 objects in order to outsmart your opponent in 25 unique mini-games, with a card-based system bringing in an element of strategy to proceedings. The Versus mode will also cater for your needs, and if for some reason you have nobody around to play with, then the CPU will gladly fill in.
If you do want the traditional Scribblenauts experience then the closest you will get are the 8 sandbox levels in which you can go it solo or bring along a friend and spawn in whatever your minds can conjure up, before letting the madness ensue. Adding to the creativity, and making your own Scribblenaut is a welcome addition.
Scribblenauts Showdown is the first time the popular scribbling create-em-up has been made available on Xbox and Playstation – check it out from the Microsoft Store for £34.99 or $39.99. For now, it is only available in the North American region, however UK and Europe will be treated to a bit of imaginative fun from Friday 9th March 2018.
