Back in 2015 SKYHILL debuted, going on to sell more than 200,000 copies on both PC and console. Well, now the next game in the franchise has been revealed and SKYHILL: Black Mist will be launching on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in the Fall 2019.

Coming from a collaboration between Klabater and Mandragora Games SKYHILL: Black Mist is the latest addition to the best-selling Skyhill franchise, dropping you into a tale in which you awake inside a huge interconnected buildings conglomerate, a condominium built by Skyhill Inc. – an omnipotent corporation that literally controls entire city. You being one of its employees were granted a luxurious apartment and just moved in…

This was all supposed to signal the beginning of a new life, but as is quite often the case, things quickly and unexpectedly change into a nightmare. Things have gone terribly wrong, your daughter is kidnapped and the whole building is suddenly overrun by some dark monsters and mad people that want to hunt you down like an animal. It can only be the mysterious black mist that changes human into vile creatures that is behind events…

This sees you left to explore the vast and varied locations of the haunted condominium, managing your depleting supplies and taking part in stealth-oriented encounters. Black Mist will let you choose the way of solving problems too, given the chance to use brutal force, remain unseen or find hidden passages to avoid obstacles. Whatever you do though, you’ll want to be super careful as your enemies are deadly dangerous, the environment is unforgiving and even the slightest mistake can cost you dearly.

”We are huge fans of the original SKYHILL in Klabater. It’s an explosive mixture of many genres, but also incredibly consistent and polished game.” Said Michal Gembicki, CEO at Klabater. „I believe SKYHILL: Black Mist is the new opening for the series. I’m very impressed with Mandragora’s team dedication to expand the original formula and enrich the gameplay in comparison to previous installment. It is truly inspiring to see this new game raising the bar for the whole series.”

SKYHILL: Black Mist key features include:

  • Non-linear exploration: Carve your own way in a semi-open world of Skyhill condominium, but also within infrastructure buildings such as, school, shopping center, business lounge, cinema, underground parking space and variety of technical locations.
  • Survival at all cost: You were infected by mysterious black mist and you’re slowly dying… You constantly have to search for medicine to sustain yourself, gather and manage resources, craft new tools and weapons to survive as long as possible in this hostile environment.
  • Play Your Way: Solve problems in your own way. Use environment to your advantage, lure enemies into traps, sneak using stealth or hit them hard with brute force. You decide. And… if you die, you die in your own style as well!
  • Mysterious Threat: Solve the mystery of dark mist’s origins. Nothing is as it seems, try to distinguish reality from illusions and find out what’s real and what’s not.

”With SKYHILL: Black Mist we decided to explore survival genre once again. So, it is not a just a plain sequel to the original game.” – Said Eugene Kisterev, Head of Mandragora studio. – „Sure, it’s all connected through storyline and the same universe, but the game itself is much more complex and ambitious this time. Real-time gameplay is mixed with lot of crucial tactical decisions. Black Mist is also a darkest side of Mandragora studio. We had a lot of fun while developing other projects after original SKYHILL, but our main strength lies in dark mysteries, moving stories and cruel survival .”

If you fancy taking in a unique blend of stealth-action, survival and RPG generes set in modern dystopian world, then the launch of SKYHILL: Black Mist on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (STEAM) should be something to look out for this Fall.
