Akatsuki Lord Of The Dawn – now on Xbox and PlayStation

The latest title from Eastasiasoft (long-term readers will know of these guys, what with them publishing a game seemingly every week) has already been out for almost a year on Nintendo Switch and PC platforms, but it is finally time for the real-time strategy RPG Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn to venture over to Xbox and PlayStation.

Want to assemble your own army, march into battle and slay all who oppose you? Well, look no further!

A Huge Roster to Choose From

Arriving on Xbox and PlayStation to complete the quartet of mainstream platforms to live on, Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn will have you putting together the toughest, meanest army the world has ever seen, in order to take down waves of opposition forces.

There’s 48 unique convoy characters to choose from, each with their own abilities and skills to make use of in combat. Luckily, your units will do the fighting automatically, leaving you precious time to make use of team-ups and strategic formations to get the most out of your troops.

Away from the frontlines, you’ll also have to contend with building facilities in agriculture, farming and more to rejuvenate the war-torn kingdom you have inherited. You’ll then be able to upgrade your troops, research powerful subclasses to diversify your convoy further, and ultimately rule with an iron fist over the lands!

Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn Key Features

  • Become the new lord of a kingdom in ruin and restore it to glory!
  • Select from 48 convoy characters to build your perfect battle party.
  • Command troops as they fight automatically, using strategic formations and class-ups to turn the tide!
  • Develop facilities and research more powerful subclasses.
  • Enjoy retro pixel art aesthetics and fluid sprite animations!

Venture Forth

Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. You can pick up a copy via the Xbox Store now, for £8.39. There’s also a bit of a Bundle for £9.99 which allows you to play on PC too.

Look out for our full review of the game on Xbox, coming very soon!

Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn Description

Build your battle party, construct facilities and strategize to reclaim the kingdom from chaos!

Akatsuki: Lord of the Dawn is a real-time strategy RPG where you build your own parties from a large cast of characters and use various military techniques to take down your enemies, all presented in fluidly animated retro pixel art style! Choose between 48 different convoy characters to fill up your party and utilize 10 unique formations to lead your forces to victory.

Construct facilities for agriculture, fishing, forestry and more to rebuild the lands. Gather valuable resources to forge powerful weapons and armor to strengthen your troops. Your convoy characters will fight automatically during battle. By raising their levels and giving them powerful equipment, you can stack the deck in your favor, and by researching high-grade subclasses and performing class-ups you can bolster them even further.

Will you claim victory or let it slip from your grasp?
