When Shadow Warrior was rebooted in 2013, little did we know how much fun it would bring. But here were are, having pushed through the madness of Shadow Warrior 2 to once more join the madcap Lo Wang in Shadow Warrior 3; a game which will give players the chance to slice and dice their way through some seriously frantic first person adventuring.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC, Shadow Warrior 3 is the latest from Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital as Lo Wang comes to the fore once more, as he and his sidekick – Orochi Zilla – look to take on the most improbably of missions… to take down a huge ancient dragon.
You see, Lo Wang and Zilla were the ones that released this mythical beast into the world, and so it must be down to them to stop it, pushing back the obvious apocalypse that it will bring.
What this translates to is a wonderfully mad adventure that sees Lo Wang traversing a world that is full of danger and excitement. Running a first person viewpoint and armed to the teeth with both blades and bullets, how you take on the journey through Shadow Warrior 3 is completely up to you – just be sure to put that dragon back in its place and all will be good in the world.
Humorous from the get-go and then able to provide some of the most exciting gameplay elements we’ve seen in recent times – stay tuned for our full review real soon – Shadow Warrior 3 is a bit of a delight; something we should have guessed when taking into account previous games.
It makes the £41.74 price point a more than worthy one, as it combines fast action gunplay, some serious free-running and tons of wit together as one.
