It was way back in July of 2016 when we first heard of Snooker Nation Championship, as it arrived on Xbox One in Game Preview form. Now though, near on three years later, we finally see the game emerge from the shadows to release as a fully fledged experience on Xbox One.
Available as a proper Xbox One title, Snooker Nation Championship can now see the Game Preview tag removed as the game moves into the same territory afforded to it by its April 2019 released PS4 cousin. Priced up at a mere £5.91 – and let’s be honest, that’s just pocket money – Snooker Nation Championship on Xbox One comes about via the team at Cherry Pop Games, pushing what they believe is ‘digital snooker at is best’.
Now, since 2016 when the Game Preview offering of this game was first touted around, we’ve had many a pool and snooker game arrive, with Snooker 19 the most recent, and the hugely anticipated This Is Snooker coming about from the brilliant VooFoo Studios in the coming months. That means that Snooker Nation Championship has got some opponents to snooker, and so only the very best gameplay elements, visuals, sound and mechanics will do.
Thankfully this is a game that is rocking the WSC Real championships physics engine, and it also gives us the chance to compete both offline and online to hone our ball potting skills. You’ll need to do so too, as the Snooker Nation flaming trophy is waiting to be lifted.
