The football season is back, the World Cup has come and gone, and somewhere in the middle of all that, Jolly Lobster Interactive has decided that now is the perfect time to release Soccer Arena Differences.
Timing aside, the latest spot-the-difference game from the publisher is now available on Xbox and PC, giving eagle-eyed football fans another excuse to stare at a screen and look for something that doesn’t quite belong.
Soccer Arena Differences is the latest in Jolly Lobster’s seemingly never-ending collection of spot-the-difference games, this time swapping generic scenes for packed stadiums, football action and plenty of opportunities to question whether that player really was wearing that shirt a moment ago.

Keep Your Eyes On The Pitch
The idea is pretty much as you would expect. Two soccer/football-themed images appear to be identical, but they’re hiding a collection of differences. Your job is to find them before the clock runs out.
That means scanning the stadium, players and surrounding action for anything that doesn’t quite add up. It’s less about knowing your offside rule from your handball rule and more about having the sharpest eyes in the stadium.
For football fans, the presentation gives the formula a suitably familiar backdrop, while puzzle fans get something that can be picked up and played without having to learn a complicated set of rules.
Another Jolly Lobster Spot-The-Difference Game
If you’ve encountered Jolly Lobster Interactive’s other spot-the-difference releases (Shop & Spot Avenue, Ocean Oddities and Tropical Jurassic Discovery are some of their most recent), you’ll know exactly what sort of experience to expect here. The developer has made quite a habit of taking the simple formula and applying it to another theme, and Soccer Arena Differences is the latest variation.
We can’t help but be slightly amused about the timing. The World Cup has already disappeared into the history books, while the new domestic season is already underway. Perhaps Soccer Arena Differences was hoping to ride the football wave, but it has arrived just a little after the biggest possible opportunity.
Still, football isn’t exactly short of supporters…
