The weather is warming up and our favourite puzzle-solving bear has another job to do. Sokobear Spring brings the seasonal series back to Xbox with another batch of Sokoban-style challenges, this time swapping the usual crates for pumpkins and giving the whole thing a suitably cosy spring makeover.
Priced at £4.19, Sokobear Spring is available in three versions across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC. Developed by Bad Kid Games and published by Little Giant and Bad Minion, it follows the same basic formula as its seasonal predecessors, but introduces a new crop of puzzles to work through.

Another Season, Another Puzzle Box
In Sokobear Spring the objective is simple enough – push every pumpkin onto its designated spot. Actually getting them there is where the fun begins.
Across 40 handcrafted levels, you’ll need to think several moves ahead, work around obstacles and make sure you don’t push something into a position that leaves the entire puzzle unsalvageable. There’s also the small matter of chasing away moles as you work through the levels.
The difficulty gradually increases, meaning the early stages should give newcomers plenty of opportunity to understand the mechanics before the later puzzles start asking rather more from those little grey cells.
A Springtime Return For The Sokobear
Sokobear Spring is the latest entry in a series we’ve already spent some time with.
Sokobear Winter earned 3/5 in our review. We liked the way its sliding-log mechanics mixed with traditional Sokoban puzzles, although a small game screen and relatively gentle difficulty held it back.
Sokobear Autumn fared a little better at 3.5/5. That game added block destruction, larger puzzles and some charming touches that helped it stand apart from the increasingly crowded collection of crate-pushing games on Xbox.
Spring appears to take a more traditional route again, but there’s something to be said for knowing exactly what you’re getting. If you’ve played the previous games, you’ll know the drill. If you haven’t, there’s very little here that requires a manual or a degree in bear-based logistics.
Time To Get Pushing
With its spring setting, cosy pixel art and 40 puzzles to tackle, Sokobear Spring looks to be another gentle addition to the seasonal series. You’ll find it available in three versions on the Xbox Store – for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC, with each priced at £4.19.
The harvest awaits. But as always, once that pumpkin is pushed into the wrong corner, even our furry friend can’t save you.
