SokoNature – out now on Xbox and PC

Get ready to push, shove, and strategise your way through a world of nature-themed puzzles as SokoNature launches on Xbox and PC.

Old School Vibes, the developer behind the charming Mr. T-Shirt and the challenging Factory Escape, is bringing SokoNature to Xbox and PC.

This puzzle game, available now with Xbox Play Anywhere support, offers a unique twist on the classic Sokoban formula, inviting players to manipulate blocks, navigate intricate levels, and master the art of puzzle-solving.

What is Xbox Play Anywhere?

Xbox Play Anywhere allows you to purchase a game once and play it on both your Xbox console and Windows PC. Your progress and achievements are seamlessly synced between platforms, giving you the freedom to enjoy the game wherever you prefer.

A Unique Twist on Sokoban

SokoNature takes the classic Sokoban gameplay, where players push blocks to specific locations, and adds a unique twist: the character’s size changes throughout the game, affecting how they interact with the environment.

With three distinct sizes – small, medium, and large – you’ll need to strategically collect seeds to grow and avoid obstacles to maintain your size, adding a new layer of challenge to the puzzle-solving experience.

Features That Will Make You Bloom

  • 50 Challenging Levels: Test your puzzle-solving skills across 50 handcrafted levels, each with its own unique layout and challenges.
  • Size-Changing Mechanic: Master the art of manipulating your character’s size to interact with different-sized blocks and overcome obstacles.
  • Environmental Hazards: Navigate through levels filled with traps, enemies, and challenging terrain.
  • Collectible Items: Collect seeds to increase your size and mushrooms to restore your health.
  • Variety of Puzzles: Solve a diverse range of puzzles, from simple block-pushing challenges to complex mazes and environmental interactions.

A Relaxing and Rewarding Experience

SokoNature offers a calming and engaging puzzle experience for players who enjoy a good mental workout.

As fans of puzzle games will recall, we’ve recently explored other Sokoban-inspired titles like SokoPenguin and SokoLab. SokoNature adds its own unique flavour to the genre with its size-changing mechanic and nature-themed aesthetic.

SokoNature is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support for £6.69. Just head to the Xbox Store if you wish to embrace the challenge, and embark on a puzzle-solving journey through the enchanting world of SokoNature.

SokoNature Description

Gameplay The game has 50 levels, with increasing difficulty and the introduction of new mechanics as the player progresses. The character can have three distinct sizes: small, medium, and large. The character will grow in size whenever they collect a seed (see collectible items) and shrink one size when they take damage (see board tiles/enemies). If the character takes damage when small, the game ends. The character’s size affects how they interact with the crystal cubes. The interactions between the character’s size and the cube’s size are as follows: Small Character Small Cube: Pushes the cube by one space. Medium Cube: Cannot push. Large Cube: Cannot push. Medium Character Small Cube: Pushes the cube by two spaces or pushes two cubes at the same time by one space. Medium Cube: Pushes the cube by one space. Large Cube: Cannot push. Large Character Small Cube: Pushes the cube until it hits an obstacle or pushes two/three cubes at the same time by one space. Medium Cube: Pushes the cube by two spaces or pushes two cubes at the same time by one space. Large Cube: Pushes the cube by one space. Collectible Items Mushroom: The player grows in size whenever they collect a mushroom. If the player is already large, nothing happens and the mushroom remains in place. Board Tiles Empty: The player and the cube cannot walk. Grass: The player and the cubes can walk. Small Altar: Altar where the small cube must be placed. Medium Altar: Altar where the medium cube must be placed. Large Altar: Altar where the large cube must be placed. Flame: Deals damage to the main character and the characters to be saved. Lava Floor: Deals damage to the main character and the characters to be saved, but only once. After the damage, the floor cools and turns into a standard tile.
