If you like horror then you would probably have heard of SOMA – the sci-fi horror title from Frictional Games. It’s been available on PS4 and PC previously but today it has been confirmed that it’ll be hitting Xbox One… with a ‘Safe Mode’ attached!
SOMA brings an unsettling story that is all about identity, consciousness and what it means to actually be human. Isolated and submerged beneath the ocean’s waves, the underwater facility of PATHOS-II is suffering with the boundaries of humanity strained beyond repair. You’re therefore going to have to make some tough decisions – What can be done? What makes sense? What is left to fight for?
You’ll need to head on through locked terminals and scour secret documents to uncover the truth behind the chaos. With the last remaining inhabitants hidden, you’ll need to watch every corner and keep an eye out for danger at each turn: corrupted humans, twisted creatures, insane robots, and even an inscrutable omnipresent A.I. are all present and you’ll need to figure out how to deal with each one of them.
Will you be able to outsmart your enemies… or will you just make a run for it!?!
The Xbox One version will however come complete with an optional new way of playing – the Safe Mode. Released simultaneously as a free PC update and then later on PS4, Safe Mode sees you protected from the hostile creatures as you let yourself sink into the mystery and atmosphere of PATHOS-II, uncovering the truth and determining the fate of the station.
SOMA will be arriving on Xbox One come December 1st. We’ll be sure to remind you when that time comes.
This is yet another exclusive to the ps4 game(yeah yeah PC too, I get it I get it) that is now coming to Xbox, so it definitely seems like there is a changing of the mindset with some of these companies, or there exclusivity deals have ended with Sony.
either way,I count myself lucky👍
