Sibling Rivalry
Now available on Xbox and PlayStation, Somber Echoes from Rock Pocket Games and its tale of battle between two godly sisters has been impressing over on Steam since it was released in January 2025, with a Very Positive review-base.
This 2D Metroidvania sees you play as Andrestia, imbued with God-given powers that will see her dash across the steampunk-style world that has been crafted by developers Rock Pocket Games and Lav Games.
Take a look at the launch trailer at the bottom of this piece, and you’ll immediately draw parallels to action-packed platformers like Ori and the Blind Forest / Will of the Wisps, alongside the likes of the Metroid series.
Throughout the game, you’ll face off against terrifying bosses, and gain a variety of upgrades as you improve your combat and platforming skills.
