Is it a plane? Is it a boat? Is it a car? Why yes, it’s probably all three in the latest Xbox 360 title to go free as part of the Games With Gold scheme for June, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. There’s no way you can miss out on this one!
Whilst nothing will ever reach the pinnacles of enjoyment like Mario Kart has on the arcade racing scene, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed gave it a jolly good go back in 2012. The aim is to race your fellow drives to the finish line, unleashing All-Star special attacks and fighting for supremacy. Unlike most of these fun racers, not only must you drive across land, but when the track demands it, you’ll be flying through the air in a plane or navigating the waters after another transformation into a boat.
There’s a whole host of All-Stars to play as from the world of gaming, including Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog), AiAi (Super Monkey Ball), B.D. Joe (Crazy Taxi), as well as non-gaming characters like NASCAR superstar Danica Patrick and Ralph (Wreck-It Ralph). With plenty of modes present too, ranging from a World Tour to a single Grand Prix, you could be spending hours and hours on Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, without even spending a penny as the usual £24.99 price tag on the Microsoft Store has been removed for Xbox Live Gold Subscribers until 15th June.
Better yet, it’ll be playable on Xbox One as well via the power of backward compatibility. So don’t delay, and get transforming today!
