Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening is out now

An icon of 80s anime and a legend of the space opera genre has returned to the gaming world today in a brand-new, action-packed adventure.

Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening, the first video-game adaptation of the classic series on modern platforms has become available.

This thrilling new quest from developer Magic Pockets and Microids is found on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with the Standard Edition priced at £34.99.

A Thrilling Space Opera

It’s time to immerse yourself in a stunning sci-fi world, harness the unique abilities of the charismatic hero Cobra, and solve a mystery that could threaten the entire universe.

In The Awakening, you will play as the legendary space pirate, Cobra. Alongside your loyal partner, the android Lady Armaroid, and equipped with your iconic Psychogun, you must travel from planet to planet to save three enigmatic sisters. Their fate is tied to a fabulous treasure, a treasure that is also sought by the dreaded Space Pirate Guild.

This is a game that tests your skills to the limit. You will need to master Cobra’s iconic weapons, such as the awesome Psychogun and the powerful Colt Python 77, to destroy the opponents on your heels.

You’ll also need to shrewdly use his famous gadgets, like his explosive cigar and a versatile grappling hook, to navigate the world and defeat the powerful bosses that stand in your way.

An Adventure for All Skill Levels

The game features a full story mode that covers the first 12 episodes of the famous anime series. You can choose from three different difficulty levels, allowing veterans of the genre to take on a real test worthy of their skills, while newcomers can enjoy the story with less of a challenge.

You can also team up with a friend in a 2-player co-op mode to escape your enemies together.
