Are you ready to spill blood, to steal riches and to be reborn as a legend? Hood: Outlaws & Legends is here.

Available to purchase and download right now should you have pre-ordered, Hood: Outlaws & Legends is Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive’s multiplayer PvPvE heist experience, one in which you’ll be tasked with gathering up a team of Outlaws before going about your business – a business that focuses solely on stealing treasure and making riches. Oh, and spilling a bit of blood for good measure.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is set in a dark and violent medieval world, one that is controlled by an oppressive government. But in this world are the Outlaws, and it is they who are looking to become Legends – just like yourself. As you would expect to hear, this translates to a world in which rebels, rogues and the merciless few battle it out to claim the highest price; a place in and amongst the legends. Rival gangs will fight it out, solo adventurers will attempt to find a place, but all will be left fighting it out in this brutal land.

Should you wish to head into Outlaws & Legends, you’ll find the chance to partake in intense PvPvE multiplayer heists, to claim loot, to invest in perks, weapons and new styles and more. With Sumo and Focus Home promises plenty of post-launch movement in the form of new maps, additional characters, game modes and events, this is just the beginning of what could turn into one long term end-game affair.

There are two ways of getting access to Hood: Outlaws & Legends on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (this is a fully optimised game too!), and that is by pre-ordering the standard edition of the game, which in turn delivers three-days early access over the standard street date of 10th May plus access to the Forest Lords pack (4 additional outfits and weapons). That’s a £24.99 payout.

Then there is the Year 1 Edition of the game for £39.99. This also allows for the three-days early access, but also includes the Year 1 Battle Pass Pack, which in turn gives players the opportunity to embark on Season 1-3 Battle Passes. Each of these contain exclusive unlockable items including outfits, weapon skins, banners and titles.

Alternatively, you can hold tight until May 10th when the proper release rolls out.

If you’re happy to become an Outlaw but ultimately want to be seen as a Legend, Hood: Outlaws & Legends should well be worth your time. Our full review is in the works and will be delivered before your eyes in the days ahead. But in the meantime, feel free to join us in this dark and violent world by picking up a copy of the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 or PC.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
