Spongebob Squarepants Titan of the Tide – coming to PC and console in November

The jellyfish nets are packed and the ghostly ghouls are gathering for what promises to be SpongeBob and Patrick’s most spectral adventure yet.

THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp have officially announced SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, a brand-new single-player 3D platformer launching on November 18th, 2025.

The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Another Dive into Bikini Bottom

This latest SpongeBob game will see players swapping between the iconic duo on the fly as they team up to save Bikini Bottom from a supernatural catastrophe.

The team at Purple Lamp has a fantastic track record with the SpongeBob franchise, and we’ve been along for the ride. We were huge fans of their last major outing, giving SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake a 4/5 score in our review. We called it “an absolute gem” and said we would “welcome a sequel… ideally with an absolutely huge Bikini Bottom to explore and even more characters to play as.

With Titans of the Tide, it seems our wish has been granted. This new adventure not only expands the world but also introduces a dynamic dual-protagonist system, putting both SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick directly under your control.

A Spooky, Splashy New Story

Prepare for some nautical nonsense!

The chaos begins when the colossal egos of the Flying Dutchman and King Neptune collide, unleashing spectral mayhem across Bikini Bottom. With their world on the verge of a total “ghostification,” it’s up to our two brave(ish) heroes to team up, combine their unique skills, and set things right.

The adventure promises to be fully voiced by the original cast of the show, ensuring an authentic experience for fans.

Two Heroes are Better Than One

Titans of the Tide is built around the unique skills of its two heroes and the ability to switch between them seamlessly.

You’ll need to combine SpongeBob’s and Patrick’s distinct platforming abilities to overcome challenges. Switching between them at the right moment will be key to navigating the world and solving puzzles.

Patrick is coming equipped with some brand-new skills for this adventure, including the ability to grapple and burrow. You’ll need every trick in the book to take on the epic bosses that stand in your way, including the Flying Dutchman, King Neptune, and a very grumpy Hibernation Sandy.

Your ghost-hunting quest will take you to a host of iconic locations, from the majestic depths of Neptune’s Palace to the icy peaks of Mount Bikini.

Pre-Orders and a Ghostly Collector’s Edition

Pre-orders for SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide are live now, with all pre-orders including the Natural Costume Pack DLC as a bonus.

  • Standard Edition: Includes the base game.
  • Digital Deluxe Edition: Includes the base game and the Tidal Season Pass.
  • Ultimate Edition: A huge digital bundle that includes the base game, the Season Pass, the Natural Costume Pack, and full games of both SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, plus its costume pack DLC.

The Ghostly Edition

For true collectors, a physical Ghostly Edition is also available, which includes the Digital Deluxe version of the game, an exclusive Steelbook, a collectible patch, a keychain, and lenticular prints.

The tide of terror is rising, and Bikini Bottom’s fate rests in your hands (and starfish appendages).

Get ready for a spooky, splashy, and hilarious new adventure when SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide arrives on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC (Steam) on November 18th.
